You know the only way I have found to slow it down (or really just stop some of these moments from slipping away totally)?!?  Pictures.  It is cliche I know.  But until I have someone figure out another solution for me, THAT is it!  ;)

So I am in total baby planning mode around here.  I am starting with the business FIRST and then will move on to the house version of nesting.  ;)  All loose ends are getting tied up.  Calendars are getting filled in and big X’s placed in lots of places.  Those of you who know me know that if I do not do this I will be taking appointments up until the day I go in to have the baby.  ;)  Not gonna happen.

I had mentioned in a previous post the different things I will be doing this summer.  Here are 2 of these to get on your calendars.  If you need a reason why you need to do these see that paragraph number 2.   ;)

The first are the beach sessions.  I will be taking very limited appointments for these.  I already have people who emailed before so they are first in line to pick their times.  If you are interested, please send me an email and I will let you know times available after they have their shot at them.  These will be hour long sessions, so mini session pricing but for more of a full session.  Pretty darn fabulous!

The next is something that I thought we could do that would serve all sorts of needs.  Summer studio minis!  Simple.  Versatile.  Fabulous!  Here is the idea – much like what I have done before with the canned food drive and the toy drive, we are doing a pet food drive.  All donations will be taken to VAP.  :)

Now for the part that I think a LOT of you will love.  These shots are going to be totally up to you as far as what you want.  They will be on a simple white backdrop so no “theme” at all.  That part is up to you.  Do you want to get some quick shots of your kids?  Do they have a birthday coming up and you need some pictures to celebrate the occasion?  Do you love the sports shots and have wanted to do those?  Need a new headshot?  What about their favorite friends in a picture?  Want a family shot to use for your CHRISTMAS CARDS?!!?!  This truly is totally up to you.  All details are below.  And again, the times will be very limited.  Email me to schedule your time.

The race was absolutely FIERCE!  The final 6 may have some fun things to look forward to with such a fun turn out on the competition.  :)

For now, this little guy gets the spotlight and the complimentary session with me this year!!!  I can’t wait to see him again!

Most of all though they are filled with families like this one.  Families that it is an absolute treat to be invited to spend the day and photograph their momentous, fabulous, occasions.  Families that make me smile so much throughout the day that my cheeks hurt by the end.  Families that take away the “job” part of what I am there to do.

Doesn’t get much better than that!  :)

I have been really wanting to make it out to the bluebonnets with my kiddos.  Had all sorts of grand ideas for some fabulous shots.  And well… it hasn’t happened.  We have been so busy with the spring rush for Fab-Oh and dance and school and work and activities and oh yeah I am growing a little bean too ;)  SOOOOOOOO imagine my delight when Jeremy and his oh so fabulous photo-adventure stops along any drive pulled over to a secret fabulous wildflower location on our drive through the lone star state.  THENNNNNN imagine my non-delight when I realized I was not prepared.  Remember that busy sentence?  Yeah – I was not prepared.  You see, for me and my grand visions, the clothes are SUPREMELY important.  I have issues.  I admit it. Let’s move on…

But we had 3 suitcases in the back.  (yes we were only gone for a weekend- don’t judge) 3 suitcases that had to contain 4 fabulous outfits, right?!?!   For those of you who don’t know me well I will tell you that I have issues when it comes to my kids clothes.  It is my weakness.  I admit it.  And in this instance it served me VERY WELL.  :)

Hard to believe that next year I will have one that will want to EAT those flowers.  Very very hard to believe!

I am going to have a contest to find THE fabulous pic of 2011, as chosen by YOU, just like we did to find THE fabulous pic of 2010.

I have gone ahead and broken them up into categories – Babies, Children, Couples, Families, Seniors, and Weddings.   This way it is not nearly so overwhelming!

The way it will work is I will upload a group to the Fabulous Occasions Facebook page.  Then voting will commence on that particular group.  I will upload a new group every few days.  The votes will be determined by the “likes” each image receives.  All groups will be uploaded by Friday, April 6th and voting will end on Thursday, April 19th.

At the end of the voting then each winning image from each winning category will be placed into the final group.  Voting will commence on the final group of images and then THE fabulous pic of 2011 will be announced on Monday, April 30th!

Now what do the winners get?!?

Each winner of each of the 6 groups will receive an 11×14 print of the winning image.

THE fabulous pic winner at the very end will receive a complimentary full session to be used in 2012 with me.  :)

Now in order for the votes to be placed, you must “like” fabulous occasions first, so get your friends and family ready to start voting!!!

I have taken a bit of a break from the blogging and facebook world in an attempt to use the bursts of energy I have throughout my days for the absolute most productive things.  So as quiet as it has been on Fab-Oh and over on Facebook, I assure you it has been anything but quiet around here.  I wanted to put a few things out there to get your wheels turning.  :)

It is really pretty much April.  This means that you will blink and it will be the end of the summer.  This means that holidays will be upon us.  This also means I will have a new baby.  Which, yes, means my schedule will not be nearly as open as before.  And here is what I am going to suggest we do to take care of that….  let’s plan out the year, (or nest) shall we?!?!?  ;)

*Fabulous beach mini sessions will be available this coming June.  If you are interested, please send me an email.

*I will be holding 2 special *VERY EXCITING* holiday mini sessions in July.  I know, I know.  JULY?!?!?  But think about it…  you can have your cards and prints READY and IN YOUR HANDS by the end of August.  No rush.  No stress.  Pure JOY!  I will only have a limited number of spots available for this and I will actually be opening up the list to people interested now.  So, if you are interested, please send an email to LMOORE@FABULOUSOCCASIONS.COM and I will have you on the list to be able to select your time first.  There will be 1 held in the studio and 1 held outside in a secret location :)

*I will be doing another round of the Halloween Mini Mini sessions at the end of October.  I do not yet know the date and the spots available will be extremely limited.  I will be starting a list for this as well.

*In November I will have 2 mini session dates, and I will also be doing the toy drive again with a totally different look, but that is it.  Again, that email list will be the first to select times.

*It is possible that I will be holding another Fabulous FUNdamentals before the end of the year.  More specifically, before I have this little baby (so before September).  :)  So if you are interested, send me an email and I will include you on the survey that will be sent out to determine dates.

*I will be closed all of December and most of January.

*I am offering the sports minis year round.  So get your baseball and soccer studs in to me now ;)

Also, I have had quite a few emails about bluebonnet pictures.  If you are interested in having pictures done in the fabulous blue flowers, shoot me an email.  :)

Any last minute Class of 2012 Seniors – email me ASAP to get your session in!  There is still time to get those pictures done.

So basically, if you know you for sure want in on any of these or even are partially interested, send me an email to LMoore@fabulousoccasions.com with the session(s) you are interested in in the SUBJECT line.   :)  These will get first choice for times and dates when I get them decided.  There is obviously no obligation when you send me an email, we will just call it a Fabulous Fast Pass to get you to the front of the line.  ;)

And for those of you who would like a Fabulous Moore Baby update ;)

I am now 16 weeks and there is no mistaking there is a little (or big – I grow them big) ;) bean in there.  It is going by very fast so far and I am looking forward to the summer going by VERY slowly ;) We will hopefully find out if we are buying pink or blue by the first part of May.  Don’t worry – I will share the news with everyone :)  I don’t keep those kind of secrets very well.  When we have gotten to have a peek into its’ world the baby is quite the active little one, so there is no mistaking it will fit in VERY nicely into this quite crazy busy group.  Chocolate pudding is still high on my list, but anything with cherries in it is very exciting these days.  ;)  And spaghetti… mustn’t leave that one out.

I have a good reason….

There is a FABULOUS baby on the way :D

We are beyond excited about this.  If you live in Kingwood, you most likely have already known about this as word travels VERY fast around here but I was waiting a bit to share it on here officially.  :)

A few facts…

If I was not trying to be all traditional with the pickles and ice cream it would have had to be a picture of steamed beets and chocolate pudding.  And mashed potatoes.  Not together but certainly on the same day!

I forgot exactly how it felt to be pregnant.  Who would have thought you could forget such a thing in a 5 year time frame?

I’m tired.  Did I say that yet?

The little peanut is set to arrive in September.  I’ll have 3 virgos in my house.  :)

So lots of changes on the way.  Lots of evaluating on the way.  Lots of excitement on the way – both personally and for Fabulous Occasions.

For now I must go recover from my weekend – a FABULOUS wedding, my daughter’s dance competition and then Fabulous FUNdamentals all within 3 days would have been a piece of chocolate cake for me before, but I must admit, this new body isn’t recovering as fast.  ;)

So here are some announcements to celebrate the end of the fastest month on the calendar ;)

First of all – I haven’t done this before but I am feeling the need to do it.  I am going to list pretty well what I have left for February and March.  If you are wanting to book a session, this is for you.  :)  And seniors – if you are wanting to take advantage of the senior special for February and March with no session fees – this is important info for you!

In February I have one weekend day left.  Sunday the 12th.  That is it.  If you need a weekend in February I hope that works, and I hope you email me quick. It will be gone fast.  I have a few weekdays left in February.

In March, well, I have Sunday the 4th and Sunday the 18th.  That is it.  There are a few weekdays left in March.

I’m not gonna talk about April yet.  ;)

And then for the FUN!  :)

The next Fabulous FUNdamentals class is going to be on Sunday, February 26th.  It will be held from 8:30-3:30.  Here is some info for you!
